Located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountain of East Tennessee, nobody can beat the views from our mountain tops or the unparalleled welcoming hospitality of our team.
A great place for family quality time, reunions, bachelor parties, corporate team building, Charity fundraising, and just plain fun! We offer a 12 to 15 station Sporting Clays course set for a full 100-target round, plus a few “extra” stations for those shooters looking for more challenging targets. We also have a Five Stand shooting field and an outdoor 25-yard Pistol Range. Come out and enjoy the clay target shooting experience!
Mickey's Legacy
Chilhowee Sporting Clays is one of the oldest sporting clays ranges in the greater Knoxville area. Mickey Burns, an America-loving, U.S.Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam conflict, and an avid competitive sporting clays shooter had a dream of opening a range in Maryville to share his love of the sport with friends and introduce clay target shooting to a whole new family of outdoor enthusiasts.
Upon retirement Mickey set out in earnest to fulfill his dream and opened Chilhowee Sportsman’s Club in early 2006. Mickey watched and marveled at the sport’s growth, here at his own range as well as several other ranges across eastern Tennessee. Sadly, we lost Mickey in 2021, but Chilhowee’s new owner, Jimmy Rickman, is continuing Mickey’s legacy and making continuous improvements to our facilities and range offerings.
